How Do You Use or Apply This Product?
Please refer to the instruction manual for precautions and additional information. See best practice tips below for taking blood pressure readings.
- Place the cuff on the left arm (preferably).
- Press START button. Display segments will appear and blink zero briefly. The display will change and the cuff will begin to inflate. It is normal for the cuff to feel very tight at this point. Pressure bar indicator is displayed.
- When deflation starts, a heart symbol will appear and begin to blink - indicating measurement in progress.
- When the measurement is complete, diastolic and systolic readings along with pulse rate will be displayed. The cuff will continue to deflate completely.
- Press START button again to power off.
- Note: if at any point you wish to stop inflation, press the START button.
For best practice taking blood pressure readings:
- Take readings during the same time each day– Levels are generally lower in the morning
- Don’t exercise, smoke, or drink caffeine for about an hour before taking a reading
- Rest for 5 - 10 minutes before taking a reading and keep still
- Sit comfortably with your back straight, legs uncrossed, and feet flat
- Rest your arm on a table and keep blood pressure cuff at heart level
