The Cardinal Kangaroo Gastrostomy Feeding Tube features a Y-port and ENFit connection, equipped with a 20 mL balloon for internal retention. It includes a dual port enteral connector to reduce the risk of tubing misconnections as per the 2006 JCAHO Tubing Misconnections Sentinel Event alert. The tube is purple to signify enteral feeding and is compatible only with oral/catheter tip syringes. Constructed from medical-grade silicone, it incorporates a rounded skin disc for external retention with feet, a graduated shaft, and a rounded flush tip with an open distal end.
