Halo SleepSack Swaddle FAQs
How do I use the SleepSack Swaddle?
Slip the SleepSack Swaddle wearable blanket over your baby's regular sleepwear as a replacement to loose blankets in the crib. You may want to put a short or long sleeve bodysuit or a coverall on underneath the wearable blanket depending on your nursery temperature. Don't put your baby to sleep wearing a hat, as this can result in overheating. Secure the swaddle wrap around your baby using the fastener strips. You may choose to use the swaddle feature with arms in or arms out.
Can I start using a larger-sized SleepSack Swaddle on my newborn and then he/she can just grow into it?
We DO NOT recommend using a SleepSack Wearable Blanket that does not correspond to your baby’s current size. The purpose of the wearable blanket is to keep your baby from having any excess material that may bunch up around the baby’s nose or mouth. If the baby is wearing a wearable blanket that is too large, there is a potential for the baby's head to slip through the neck hole or for excess material to bunch up around his or her face.
How does the SleepSack Swaddle help babies sleep safely?
The SleepSack Swaddle replaces loose blankets in the crib that can cover a baby’s face and interfere with breathing. It also helps reduce the risk of baby overheating.
Why is the SleepSack Swaddle sleeveless?
It is sleeveless to reduce the chance of baby overheating and is easier to be worn with regular sleepwear underneath.
How does the SleepSack Swaddle hold up in the washing machine?
Our SleepSack Swaddle is made of the highest-grade fabrics available which will remain durable through many washings. It should be washed with like colors, and tumbled dry on low heat. Remember to close the fastener strips on the swaddle wrap before washing to prevent it from attaching to other items in the wash. It is also recommended to close the zipper and turn inside-out before laundering.
