About Hollister New Image CeraPlus Soft Convex Barrier, Pre-Cut
The Hollister New Image CeraPlus Soft Convex Barrier, Pre-Cut is a two-piece ostomy skin barrier without an integrated tape border, designed for experienced ostomates who prefer the flexibility of a barrier without the tape border or who use separate accessory tape for securement. The soft convex profile supports flat, flush, and retracted stomas by gently pressing the peristomal skin outward to encourage stoma projection into the pouch, helping to reduce leakage. The CeraPlus ceramic-enhanced formulation provides supplemental protection to the peristomal skin's natural moisture barrier. The factory pre-cut openings across multiple sizes allow for immediate, consistent application without on-the-spot trimming. This barrier is compatible with Hollister New Image two-piece system pouches in matching flange sizes. Each box contains 5 barriers.

Hollister New Image CeraPlus Soft Convex Barrier, Pre-Cut FAQs
What is the difference between the tape border and no-tape-border version of this barrier?
The "With Tape" version includes an integrated adhesive tape border around the outer edge of the barrier for additional skin securement. This version (without tape) has a clean outer edge and is designed for ostomates who prefer to add their own tape or who do not require additional securement.
Do I need to add tape if I use the no-tape version?
Not necessarily. Many experienced ostomates find the barrier adheres adequately without additional tape. If extra security is needed, Hollister and other brands offer ostomy accessory tape that can be applied around the barrier perimeter.
How do I select the correct opening size?
Your stoma should be measured with a measuring guide at each appliance change — stoma size can change, particularly in the first 6–8 weeks after surgery. Select the opening size that is approximately 1/8 inch larger than your stoma measurement.
How long does the CeraPlus barrier stay in place?
CeraPlus barriers are engineered for extended wear — typically 3–5 days depending on output type, activity, and individual skin characteristics.
Is this barrier compatible with my Hollister New Image pouches?
Yes, as long as the flange sizes match. The 2-1/4" flange barrier connects to 2-1/4" New Image pouches, and the 2-3/4" flange connects to 2-3/4" New Image pouches.
