About Sure Seal Ring, Square
The Sure Seal Ring, Square is a soft, malleable ostomy seal ring designed to fill the gap between the stoma opening and the peristomal skin to prevent leakage and protect the surrounding skin from contact with stoma output. The square shape of the Sure Seal Ring provides more coverage area than round seal rings, making it particularly effective for stomas with irregular shapes or located in skin creases. The flexible, pectin-based or hydrocolloid material can be shaped, stretched, and molded to fill any skin irregularity around the stoma, creating a smooth, even surface for the skin barrier to adhere to. This accessory is especially valuable for ostomates whose peristomal skin has creases, scars, uneven contours, or folds that allow stoma output to track beneath the barrier and cause premature failure. Compatible with most one-piece and two-piece ostomy pouching systems.
Key Benefits & Features:

Sure Seal Ring, Square FAQs
Why would I need a seal ring?
Seal rings are used when the skin surface around the stoma is uneven due to creases, scars, surgical folds, or weight changes. These irregularities prevent the skin barrier from sealing flush against the skin, allowing stoma output to leak underneath. A seal ring fills these gaps to create a complete, leak-resistant seal.
Why choose a square seal ring over a round one?
Square seal rings provide more surface area coverage in the corners of the peristomal region, which is helpful for stomas located in skin folds or for irregular skin contours where round rings leave gaps at the sides.
How do I apply the Sure Seal Ring?
Warm the ring slightly between your palms to soften it. Center the ring around your stoma on the skin surface, pressing gently to adhere. Apply your skin barrier on top of the ring. The ring can also be applied to the adhesive side of the barrier before application.
Can I trim the center opening to fit my stoma?
Yes. The center opening can be carefully stretched or trimmed to precisely match your stoma's size and shape. It should fit snugly around the stoma base without constricting it.
How often should the seal ring be replaced?
Replace the seal ring with each skin barrier change, or sooner if leakage occurs or the ring becomes saturated with stoma output.
How many rings come per pack?
Each pack contains 10 Sure Seal Rings.
