The Honest Company Baby Diapers FAQs
What makes a clean conscious diaper?
- To make the core of the diaper, we now harvest wood from well-managed, responsibly sourced trees in North America (instead of Scandinavia) to reduce our transportation carbon footprint.
- Turned into fluff pulp.
- We don't add latex, fragrance, or parabens.
- We use a plant-based backsheet, and our new, more efficient design reduces the amount of material used in each diaper.
- Our diapers are cruelty-free and never tested on animals.
- Our diaper boxes are made from 100% PCR post recycled consumer cardboard (aka they’re 100% recyclable) – that means no new trees cut down and no landfill, if recycled.
How should I use this product?
Lie your baby down on their back, on a safe, flat surface, and lift them gently to place the diaper under them. Bring the diaper front over and up to your baby’s stomach, and use the adhesive diaper tabs to fasten securely. To minimize leaks, make sure the diaper’s leg cuffs are pulled out, rather than tucked in.
Will Honest diapers work on delicate skin?
We design our Honest diapers with your baby’s delicate skin in mind. That’s why our diapers are hypoallergenic, and we stay away from potential irritants.
How often should I change my baby's diaper?
Change diapers frequently to help prevent irritation and diaper rash.
How do I keep my baby from getting diaper rash?
At some point you’ll likely deal with diaper rash, but changing diapers frequently, keeping your baby’s bottom clean with a Soothing Bottom Wash, letting them “air” out for a bit and using a diaper rash cream to help seal out wetness all cut down on diaper rash.
What does the Oeko-Tex Certification mean?
We're proud to say that our Clean Conscious Diapers are now OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified! OEKO-TEX is a globally-recognized, independent third-party that tests every component of our diapers for 350 toxic chemicals to ensure their safety. The OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification for our diapers means they have successfully passed rigorous safety standards for heavy metals, pesticides, PFAS, and certain colorants and chlorinated compounds (just to list a few!).

Choosing the correct incontinence product size is not like choosing a clothing size. You’ll need to measure both waist and hip size, and then use the larger of the two numbers when referencing a sizing guide.
