Vashe Skin/Wound/Burn Cleansing Solution FAQs
What makes Vashe so powerful?
Pure Hypochlorous Acid. Hypochlorous acid is produced by the human body to neutralize invading pathogens. After a pathogen enters the body, neutrophils are quickly deployed from the bloodstream to respond.
In addition to this, it is important to understand the role pH plays in wound healing.
Wound healing is optimal in slightly acidic environments where antimicrobial properties are higher. Pure hypochlorous acid has a pH between 3.5 and 5.5, which is favorable to wound healing environments that can aid in:
- Optimal protease activity and oxygen release.
- Reduced toxicity of bacterial end products.
- Epithelization and angiogenesis.
- Increased macrophage and fibroblast activity.
Many cleansing solutions contain toxic ingredients, such as sodium hypochlorite, and have a highly alkaline pH. An alkaline environment can allow pathogens to thrive and potentially impede the healing process. Vashe contains pure hypochlorous acid and is manufactured with a pH range of 3.5 - 5.5.
How should I use Vashe?
Apply liberally to irrigate and debride wounds and peri-wound tissue. To moisten a dressing, apply to the wound dressing and cover the wound bed. To keep the dressing moist, apply solution as prescribed throughout the day.
